BE Training System

So often it's not what's known, rather what's unknown that makes the biggest difference.

The BE Training in Detail

A company's corporate culture directly impacts its employees' experience at work, forming the foundation from which the employees choose. The employees' choices dictate their emotions, thoughts, and communication which produce their results, productivity, relationships, commitments, and vision. BE has discovered that corporate culture is comprised of both identifiable and unidentifiable components. What has a business transform is the identification of the unidentifiable components of the corporate culture that impact one's choices in a negative way. Thus, the questions that you want to ask yourself are, "How can I make known the unknown within my corporate consciousness and how can I be the source for my company's transformation."

A BE Distinction to Consider

Corporate culture is comprised of the agreements entered into by every person in the business. In any organization there are two types of agreements — explicit and implicit.

  • Explicit agreements are those agreements that are communicated between people. An example of an explicit agreement is the salary you will pay your employee for performing delineated responsibilities associated with his/her position.
  • Implicit agreements, on the other hand, are those agreements that are made, but never actually communicated. Implicit agreements can be external or internal.

An example of an external implicit agreement is the employee who outperforms the rest of his department, but shows up to work late. His boss ignores his tardiness because he is the top producer in his department. The external implicit agreement between the boss and the employee has become "showing up to work late is okay as long as you continue to produce the best results."

Internal implicit agreements are the agreements an individual makes with himself and does not share with others. Such agreements create the way an employee speaks, listens and thinks in any given moment. For example, an internal implicit agreement created by co-workers from the above example is, "I will continue to do this job until I can find a better gig because my boss plays favorites and I am treated unfairly." Once employees form their implicit internal agreements they act in alignment with those agreements. To make matters worse, most employees then share their insights with their co-workers and get them to "buy into" and support their position. The result is your corporate culture.

Most companies have no capacity to distinguish the internal implicit agreements that impact their corporate culture. The company becomes victim to finding the right person to fit the job, so they go through the hire and fire syndrome rather than addressing what is creating the culture that is not working. BE will teach you how to address and transform what is unconsciously stopping your company (employees) from achieving beyond its (their) limitations so you can create an empowering corporate culture and the unprecedented results that flow from empowered employees.
